WholeHealth Renewal Workshops

These workshops are a practical pathway to deeper healing and sustainable wellbeing because healing doesn’t end when symptoms fade or life goes “back to normal”. It’s an ongoing relationship with your body, mind, and the deeper truths that shape how you live. These workshops were created to support that relationship, to provide the tools, insights, and practices that help you move from coping to truly living.

Designed by Brett Simpson and grounded in both science and lived experience, each course offers a safe, guided space to explore resilience, meaning, and the personal habits that sustain a healthier way of being. The content is practical, but the outcomes are deeply personal. Whether you’re rebuilding after illness, emerging from burnout, or searching for purpose, this work helps you understand yourself so you can change your life from the inside out.

Research shows that emotional resilience improves health outcomes, mind–body practices reduce stress and support immunity, and lifestyle shifts influence gene expression and recovery. But knowledge alone doesn’t create change. Healing needs experience, reflection, courage – and the right tools.

These workshops offer all four.

They bring together the scientific principles of psychoneuroimmunology and epigenetics with practical skills and human guidance. This is healing you can feel, understand, and sustain.

Each workshop stands alone. Take one, or follow the path that feels right for where you are.

Identity & Self-Understanding Workshop

Identity shapes how you see yourself and respond to life, and this workshop invites you to explore identity as a set of learned patterns rather than fixed traits. Using the Enneagram as a reflective framework, you begin to notice how you think, feel, and react under pressure, bringing unconscious patterns into awareness and creating space for greater self-acceptance, flexibility, and choice in how you relate to yourself and the world.

FAQ’s

What is WholeHealth Renewal?

WholeHealth Renewal is a structured wellbeing program designed to support people navigating significant life transitions such as illness, burnout, stress, emotional overwhelm or a loss of direction.

The workshops explore the relationship between identity, habits, emotional resilience and health, helping people better understand themselves while building more supportive ways of living.

The approach combines science, lived experience, practical tools and reflective learning in a grounded and compassionate environment.

Who are these workshops for?

These workshops are for people who feel that something in life needs to shift.
Some participants are recovering after illness or treatment. Others are navigating burnout, chronic stress, emotional overwhelm or a period of personal change.
You do not need to be in crisis or have a diagnosis to attend.
You only need a willingness to explore yourself honestly and move toward a healthier, more conscious way of living.

Is this only for people recovering from illness?

No.

Although many people are drawn to the work during or after health challenges, the workshops are also relevant for burnout, stress, emotional fatigue, life transition, identity shifts and personal growth.

The work is ultimately about learning how to live more consciously and sustainably.

What happens in a workshop?

Each workshop includes a combination of:

  • Guided teaching
  • Reflective exercises
  • Practical wellbeing tools
  • Experiential learning
  • Group discussion and self inquiry

The environment is supportive and grounded, with no pressure to share more than feels comfortable.

The intention is not performance or perfection, but honest exploration and practical integration.

Will I leave with practical tools?

Yes.

Every workshop includes practical tools, reflective material and simple practices that can be integrated into everyday life long after the session ends.

The goal is not inspiration for one day, but sustainable awareness and action over time.

What is the Enneagram and why is it used?

The Enneagram is a framework used to better understand patterns of thinking, behaviour, stress and motivation.

Within WholeHealth Renewal, it is not used to label or box people in. It is used as a reflective tool to help bring unconscious patterns into awareness so that people have more choice, flexibility and self understanding.

The focus is always growth, compassion and awareness rather than personality “typing.”

Is this based on science or spirituality?

The work is grounded in both evidence based research and lived human experience.

The workshops draw on fields such as psychoneuroimmunology, stress physiology, emotional resilience, behavioural science and habit formation, while remaining deeply practical and accessible.

There is no religious or spiritual agenda.

Are the workshops therapy?

No.

WholeHealth Renewal is not therapy, psychological treatment or medical care.

The workshops are educational, experiential and reflective in nature. They are designed to support personal growth, self awareness and wellbeing alongside appropriate medical or therapeutic support where needed.

What makes WholeHealth Renewal different from traditional wellness programs?

Many wellness approaches focus only on information or behaviour change.

WholeHealth Renewal works more deeply with the relationship between identity, emotional patterns, stress, mindset and daily habits.

The intention is not simply to “fix” symptoms, but to help people better understand themselves so that change becomes more sustainable and meaningful.

I’m not good at group settings. Will this still suit me?

Many people arrive feeling uncertain about group environments, especially after difficult life experiences.

The workshops are intentionally designed to feel safe, respectful and human. There is no pressure to speak publicly, perform or participate beyond your comfort level.

People are invited into the process gently and at their own pace.

What if I feel emotional during the workshop?

That is completely normal.

These workshops often create space for people to reconnect with parts of themselves they may have ignored, suppressed or moved past too quickly.

Participants are never forced into emotional expression, but emotions are welcomed with compassion and without judgement.

What kind of people attend?

People from many different backgrounds attend the workshops.

Some are navigating illness or recovery. Some are professionals experiencing burnout or stress. Others are simply looking for greater meaning, healthier habits or a deeper understanding of themselves.

What tends to connect participants is a shared desire for growth, honesty and a healthier way of living.

Do I need to attend all four workshops?

No.

Each workshop is designed to stand alone, so you are welcome to attend the one that feels most relevant to your current season of life.

Many people choose to continue through all four because the themes naturally build on one another, but there is no pressure to complete the full series.

How do I know which workshop to begin with?

Start with the one that resonates most strongly with where you are right now.

Some people begin with Identity because they want deeper self understanding. Others begin with Emotional or Mental Health because stress or overwhelm feels most immediate.

There is no right order. The right starting point is usually the one that speaks to you most honestly.

Who facilitates the workshops?

The workshops are designed and facilitated by Brett Simpson in collaboration with LifeShine Wellness Centre.

Brett’s work is grounded in lived experience, behavioural change, emotional resilience and practical wellbeing support, with a focus on helping people move from survival patterns toward greater awareness, meaning and sustainable health.

Where are the workshops held?

All workshops are hosted at the LifeShine Wellness Center, a dedicated space designed to support reflection, learning, and personal growth.

Awareness is a more powerful catalyst for change than sheer effort. Embrace curiosity, experimentation and reflections as your primary guides and greatest teachers.
