Lifeshine changed my life in a way I never thought possible. I began my journey with them at the end of 2025, and from the moment I walked through their doors, I felt something different, a sense of peace, of belonging, of hope. Deep down, I knew this was the place where my faith could finally rest again. It has been the greatest investment I have ever made.
Before Lifeshine, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I went through radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and even a stem cell transplant. Despite all of this, nothing worked. I was eventually classified as a rare cancer case, and it felt like my options, and my light, were fading.
Then came Lifeshine.
From the very beginning, the staff embraced me with warmth and compassion. They made me feel like family, even when I was uncertain and afraid. They created a space where I could finally begin to heal, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well.
Through this journey, my healing truly began. I discovered deeper roots, the source of my pain, and I was finally able to break generational chains for myself and my family. For the first time, I felt safe. I spent much of my life being silent, but I am no longer willing to live that way. Lifeshine helped me find my voice.
They walk with grace, and it shows in everything they do.
One of the greatest lessons I have learned is that pain demands to be felt, and Lifeshine gave me the courage to feel it, face it, and transform through it.
They stood by me in my darkest moments, something very few places or people truly do. I pray that more spaces like Lifeshine rise across South Africa, because what they offer goes beyond healing the body. They nurture the mind, the heart, and the soul.
When last did you hug your younger self? We often get caught up in the noise of the world, losing ourselves in systems that disconnect us from who we truly are.
Enough is enough. I am done being quiet. And for that, I thank Lifeshine.
I truly believe I was heading down a path of darkness, but Lifeshine reached out and brought me back into the light. Every person at Lifeshine plays a role, each one adding to something incredibly beautiful. It is a living, breathing expression of care, purpose, and healing.
Water teaches us to move around obstacles, not through force. Fire reminds us that transformation requires courage. Air carries truth, whether we are ready to hear it or not. Earth holds us, even when we forget how to stand.
My light is always on now.
This world needs healing, deep, honest healing. And I believe the light will always rise above the darkness.
Sending my light to you all.
